Q Does SUPER DELIOS have remarkable features in the filter ?

A Yes, the filter design is one of the major features of our product.
High performance fibrous activated carbon removes disagreeable odors in the first stage.
Then, the hollow fiber filter completely removes disease-causing bacillus, bacteria, mold and contaminated materials from the source water.
Therefore, you can drink water from the river, as well as water in countries with poorly controlled sanitization systems with SUPER DELIOS.

Q Now I am using a portable water filter which has no bacteria-removing filter.
What is the difference between SUPER DELIOS and the one I own?

A The water filter you have can not remove bacteria, germs or mold in the water, because it has no function to remove hazardous materials.
This type of water filter puts chlorine or iodine into water to disinfect them.
Such chlorine or iodine, however, works differently depending upon the quality of the unfiltrated water.
So this type of water filter does not have the same reliability of performance as that provided by the hollow fiber filter in SUPER DELIOS.

Q I find that other bacteria-removing filter built-in water filters are heavy, bulky and difficult to carry.
How about SUPER DELIOS ?

A General built-in filters are mostly made of ceramic, so most of them are heavy and expensive.
SUPER DELIOS is very light, with a hollow fiber filter and polyethylene container, for a total weight of only 2.0 oz. It is also very easy to carry, due to its small size and pocketable design. The price is also significantly lower than ceramic filter products.

Q How do I use SUPER DELIOS?

A It's very simple. Fill the SUPER DELIOS container with water, squeeze the water through the filter, and drink it.

Q Can I fold SUPER DELIOS to keep it in my pocket?

A Yes, you can.
It is very light and folds to a fist size when you fold it, therefore you can keep it in your pocket.
You can also fit it into a purse, an overnight bag, a backpack, or even the glove compartment of your car.

Q I am wondering if SUPER DELIOS is reliable?

A SUPER DELIOS is a well-inspected product with very high reliability. Each SUPER DELIOS unit is subjected to severe inspection by the manufacturer.

Q Is SUPER DELIOS expensive?

A No. The price is very reasonable.
SUPER DELIOS consists of a high-performance hollow fiber filter, fibrous activated carbon filter and other parts.
The dual-stage filter requires careful inspection, which is costly, compared to other similar water filters.
Nevertheless, the whole structure of the SUPER DELIOS is very simplified, in order to keep the manufacturing cost as low as possible.
Thus we are able to keep the price reasonable as well.

Q I often travel abroad.
Do I need to take SUPER DELIOS with me?

A We recommended travelers always carry SUPER DELIOS with you on a trip.
It is often hard to find safe drinking water in many countries unless you are staying at a major hotel.
In many cases, you must purchase bottled water, which is often expensive, and in many cases only carbonated water is available.
If you have SUPER DELIOS with you, you can drink safe water.
You can also use clean water to brush your teeth, rinse your eyes, and even clean your wounds in case you should suffer a sudden accident.

Q I have heard that SUPER DELIOS is a "must-have" item for emergency use.

A Emergencies can happen anywhere. SUPER DELIOS is an excellent addition to your home's emergency-preparedness kit, and small enough to carry with you wherever you go.
Experts in the water industry say that you need to get 9 liters of drinking water per person per 3 days in the event of an emergency.

Q I have had trouble getting safe drinking water when I go camping.
Is SUPER DELIOS recommended for camping trips?

A Yes. SUPER DELIOS is recommended for all your outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, bicycling and fresh-water fishing.
You can safely drink water from rivers, lakes or streams when you feel thirsty.

A We recommend SUPER DELIOS as being ideal for all outdoor activities, traveling overseas, and or emergency and disaster preparedness.

Q Are there unfiltered water sources we cannot use with SUPER DELIOS?

A Yes. The filter we use can remove germs, mold and other microbes which are difficult to detect even with an optical microscope. It cannot, however, remove viruses from water, as they are too small to be trapped by the filter. There are liquid iodine and other products on the market that can be added to the source water prior to filtration that will kill or imobilize viruses, but SUPER DELIOS cannot remove them by itself.
The hollow fiber filter can remove non-dissolved materials, which are diffused materials in the water.
However, the filter cannot remove water-dissolved materials. This includes salt in sea water, and poisonous organic and chemical materials which may be dissolved in the water.
Some poisonous organic materials can be absorbed by the fibrous activated carbon, but others cannot.
From the above view point, SUPER DELIOS can not be used for poisonous materials dissolved in the water.

Q I have heard that SUPER DELIOS can not be used in the water where there are no fish.
Is this true?

A Yes. Fish living in the water indicates that the river or lake is not contaminated by water-dissolved poisonous materials.
On the other hand, such river or lake water where there are no fish may have too much acidity because of the acid materials dissolved in the water.
Or, poisonous materials may be dissolved in the water.
Please do not use SUPER DELIOS in such cases.

Q Can SUPER DELIOS filter beverages such as milk, juice or coffee?

A No. You should avoid using SUPER DELIOS to filter these beverages.
It takes away the tastes and the colors, and it may clog the filter, so there would be no advantage to doing so. It is much more reasonable to filter the water before making coffee or tea, thus assuring safe water and good taste.

Q SUPER DELIOS uses fibrous activated carbon.
How does it differ from ordinary activated carbon?

A Fibrous activated carbon is made of fine and thin fibers which are carbonized.
It absorbs much faster than the ordinary type of activated carbon.
We adopted the fibrous activated carbon to make the filter unit as compact and efficient as possible.

Q The container looks like a cheap squeeze-bottle mayonnaise container.
Why did you use such container?

A We put much more weight on function than appearance.
As you can see, SUPER DELIOS has a very simplified structure.
We developed the product so that the hollow fiber filter could provide the filtration on its own, without requiring any parts inserted into the container.
The flexible polyethylene container is strong and durable, and is one of the unique features of SUPER DELIOS. It allows you to roll or fold SUPER DELIOS to pocket size, without damage to the container. It has been stringently tested for reliability, and will continue to function safely even after being folded many hundreds of times.
The flexible container was, in fact, an important component of the original patented design for SUPER DELIOS.
Nevertheless, due to the design of the screw-on filter, you can substitute most off-the-shelf PETE bottles or a Platypus bottle if you prefer, or if you need a larger container and do not require the pocketable features of the container that comes with the product.

Q We are afraid that SUPER DELIOS does not look like a high quality product.

A Again, we attach much more importance to its function and performance than its appearance.
Perhaps the simplicity of the design and operation of SUPER DELIOS is deceiving. The fact that one cannot see the filtering elements inside the cap does not mean that they are not doing their job.
SUPER DELIOS has an excellent filter unit in it, one of the best in the world.
It is the name of the game of the Product.
The filter unit is a combination of the hollow fiber filter and the fibrous activated carbon.
Procurement and processing of these materials are costly, as is the inspection of each filter unit.
We could make a portable water filter with no bacteria removal filter at lower costs, but such filters would not work as well. There are already many such substandard sports water bottles on the market, why make another one?
Other types of bacteria removal systems with built-in water filters cost more than SUPER DELIOS.
But they do not work better than SUPER DELIOS in terms of filtration accuracy, simplicity of operation, and portability.
We are proud of our SUPER DELIOS, because even though it may not look "high quality", it actually works as advertised.
